Blogging this Richmond, VA Indian Wedding is like re-living one of my favorite days ever! Simran and I have known each other since the 3rd grade and have been best friends ever since. When she told me that she wanted me to do her wedding, I was over the moon excited! She came up to Durham and we talked about all of her wedding details at a little hole in the wall pizza place. While we were talking, I quickly realized that their wedding was going to be so unique and special! The day before her wedding, they had a party to give her and the guests henna tattoos. At that party, her family from India made authentic Indian food and just had a great time! Throughout the whole day everyone made me feel like family. I didn’t feel like a photographer, I felt like a guest! There was something so raw about this day that I loved so much! The next day, every guest showed up in their brightest and best Indian attire. That day will forever be one of my favorite days as I was able to stand on the stage, embracing the unique cultures, and photographing my best friend marry the love of her life. I am not sure if I will ever recover from all of these beautiful colors, details, and people. I love you all, and I wish you the best in your marriage!
